Research Videos

This page includes links to videos of my research. The videos are all encoded as MPEG2 and should play on any common video playing software (Windows Media Center, Quicktime, MPlayer, VLC etc)

All of these videos include real footage of the AR systems in operation outdoors. Videos are captured from the video signal sent to the head-mounted display.

X-Ray Vision on the News

This video shows a segment of the South Australian Channel 7 news on 29th July 2009. Although I do not appear in the video (having moved overseas) the technology, and graphics were all created by me.

X-Ray Vision 2007

This is a video if the early version of the x-ray vision system presented in the ISMAR 2007 paper. It demonstrated the user using their hands to stretch out an area on the display to view the x-ray vision in. It also demonstrates the use of the x-ray vision technologies for diminished reality (removing a real object from view)

Sky Invaders 3D

This video shows the outdoor AR shooter game Sky Invaders 3D. I developed this game for the start-up company A-Rage. The user can move their head to aim and shoot down fleets in approaching alien invaders. The user can physically run over to a bunker where ammunition and health packs can be obtained.
